The Mojave Desert covers a wide area of southern California, southern Nevada, extreme NW Arizona and extreme SW Utah. The Mojave is the transition desert from the Sonoran to the south and the Great Basin to the north. It is home to a diverse number of plants and cactus, not to mention desert wildlife, large and small.
